Delicious experiences for chocolate lovers

FAQs about our Chocolate Workshops

Please see below for the answers to the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding our Deluxe Chocolate Truffle-Making Workshops. If you have additional questions, or would simply like some guidance, please contact us.

What to expect from our chocolate workshops

Our experienced chocolatier will give you a brief introduction to the world of chocolate. After that, you will learn how to make delicious Belgian dark chocolate truffles by hand, from melted chocolate and cream. Under our expert guidance, you will learn how to mix, pipe, shape, coat and sprinkle some magic on your own handmade truffles. You’ll then beautifully package them to create your very own chocolate delicacies to take home.

Each session is a mix of demonstration and practical hands-on experience, lasting between 1.5 to 2 hours. Our Deluxe Workshops are held in central Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.

Chocolate workshops for larger groups

If you’re a larger group (over 10 people) then we suggest you look at our Celebrations page where we have designed a chocolate making workshop that will give you the unique, bespoke experience you’re looking for.

Which workshop is for me?

The Deluxe workshop lasts for 1.5-2 hours and takes place on a weekend at a venue booked by us. These are designed for individuals, couples or smaller groups, looking to learn a new skill, spend some quality time with friends or indulge their passion for chocolate.

The Celebration Workshop lasts for 1.5 hours and can take place at the venue / location and day of your choice. Designed for those who want a private experience, these workshops are only available for group bookings.

What will we make?

Depending on the size of your truffles, you’ll go home with between 30-50 truffles. Perfect as gifts for friends and family, although they taste so good you may want to keep them all for yourself. Our truffles can also be frozen, so you can make your indulgence last even longer…if you have the willpower!

What to wear?

Decisions, decisions…it’s completely up to you but please wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing up during the course. We will provide disposable aprons and gloves to protect your clothing, so feel free to dress up or dress down!

When should I arrive?

If you could arrive 10 minutes before the start of your workshop that will give us plenty of time to get you set up, settled and ready to feed your chocolate fix!

Are refreshments included?

We don’t provide refreshments; however, you are welcome to order your own from the hotel or bring non-alcoholic refreshments with you.

Can we decorate the room?

Please let us know if you’re celebrating a special occasion such as a baby shower, hen party or a birthday. We’d love to make a fuss of you and always ensure, if you are attending in a party, that you have tables near each other.

If you would like to bring your own decorations such as balloons and banners, then please let us know prior to the workshop.

Do you run workshops at home?

All of our workshops are run at city centre hotels in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Bristol. However, arrangements can be made for alternative venues if you have a specific event or special occasion in mind. Please contact us so we can discuss your requirements.

Allergy information:

We use 58% dark chocolate (certified wheat and gluten-free) cream, cocoa powder and desiccated coconut.
